Brunch at Figs

Figs is justly famous for its pizza, but weekend brunch (or "spring breakfast," as they call it) at this tiny Olives spinoff provides a whole new thrill. The menu includes challah French toast; an ever-changing array of pancakes; banana waffles; crab cakes with poached eggs; a high-protein egg-white frittata; a sausage, goat cheese, and zucchini omelet; and, yes, an unbelievable pizza with country ham, eggs, asparagus, and hollandaise sauce. Lines are starting to appear as the word gets out, but you can call about reservations. Brunch items cost between $5 and $10.

Figs, located at 67 Main Street, in Charlestown, serves brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 242-2229.
