Tealuxe pumpkin-spice chai
Fall for it
BY CHRISTINE JUNGE
Previous Columns

If you, like many New Englanders, want to hold tight to all things autumnal for as long as possible, head to Tealuxe, whose pumpkin-spice chai will remind you of days spent apple picking and trick-or-treating. The best part is that you can enjoy a cup long after winter’s icy hands have made those outings impossible. Though the tea was originally a seasonal selection, the store made it available year-round because of its popularity.

Steeped in your choice of steamed milk (or soy, for those lactose intolerants out there), the tea is a blend of black tea leaves, pumpkin, vanilla, and herbs. It tastes a little less sweet than your average chai, but honey fixes that nicely.

Available for $2.75 for a cup and $3.71 for a pot at Tealuxe, 0 Brattle Street, Cambridge, (617) 441-0077, and 108 Newbury Street, Boston, (617) 927-0400.
