What are they now?

Hard to believe, but in the early part of the century, Washington Street was "movie-palace row" in Boston. Even in the early '70s, you could find some two dozen moviehouses just in Boston. Loews' Boston Common and General's Fenway theaters may be bigger and better, but they'll never have the same cozy neighborhood ambiance. Here's what's happened to some of those old moviehouses:
