LOCAL FUNDRAISERS TO AID HURRICANE KATRINA SURVIVORS

The Northeast Belly Dance Association will be holding a Hurricane Benefit at the Dilboy VFW Post (371 Summer Street, Somerville) from 3:30p.m. to 7p.m. Over 20 of the Boston area's finest dancers will perform in a showcase of a variety of styles of modern belly dance. Prizes will be auctioned and the dance floor will be open to participate in between sets. Suggested minimum donation is $15. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Fund. T.T. the Bear's (10 Brookline Street, Cambridge) will host a "Global Battle of the Bands" in which $1 from each $8 ticket goes to hurricane relief. For more info: www.ttthebears.com.
