Because of illness, Fabio Luisi will be unable to conduct the BSO this weekend; his place will be taken by former BSO assistant conductor Ilan Volkov. There will be one change in the program: instead of Richard Strauss's Ein Heldenleben, the orchestra will perform the Mussorgsky/Ravel Pictures at an Exhibition.
