The Red House

The Red House makes a series of romantic settings out of an 1802 home in the heart of Harvard Square, and the food is reliably good, if not brilliant, in a New American/Mediterranean mode. Our highlights were roasted parsnip soup, cardamom-scented pork loin, and litchi sorbet. There's also a small and so far undiscovered bar.
