The Paradise Rock Club, long one of Boston's premier live-music venues, celebrated 25 years on the scene by opening the Paradise Lounge, a laid-back bar and restaurant for pre- or post-show hanging out. The Rock Club features local and national acts in the back room, while the Lounge features some weekly events. Open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Cover varies; free or $3 most nights. -- Wed., at 10 p.m., "Black Out Bar," presenting the best rock, punk, and British invasion of the '60s, '70s, and '80s. -- Thurs., at 9 p.m., "Bubble Up," presenting reggae and dance hall.
