Chef Ken Oringer is at the top of his game, with a cuisine of focused flavors and sculptural precision: foie gras, intense seared hanger steak, scallops on a pedestal of salt. Maybe the best meal in the city right now. The distinguished, leopard-carpeted dining room couldn't be more different from the Eliot Lounge, which used to occupy this space.
