[Pounding the Pavement]

Cardinal Bernard Law recently admitted that he knew about allegations of sexual misconduct by Father John Geoghan as far back as 1984. But Geoghan wasn't defrocked until 1993. Who's responsible?

Do you think Cardinal Law bears responsibility for not taking action against the allegations of sexual misconduct by Father Geoghan?
I think they should have made public the allegations and let him [Father Geoghan] go on practicing until definitive answers were brought forth.

Do you think Catholic priests should be able to marry?
No. That's what makes them special. That's one of the coolest things about the Catholic church.

Have you ever considered devoting your life to your religion?
When I was very young. The attraction was the idea of sacrifice. I thought priests got to learn some ancient secrets of the world, like what the Virgin Mary said to the girls at Fatima. I liked the costumes too. You could be a guy and wear a pink dress.

Do you think Cardinal Law bears responsibility for not taking action against the allegations of sexual misconduct by Father Geoghan?
It was his moral responsibility to his religion and his people. By not telling people, he created suffering for his people. It doesn't seem that he was practicing what he preached.

Do you think Catholic priests should be able to marry?
Sure, why not? They are giving advice to people with marital problems.

Have you ever considered devoting your life to your religion?
I kind of do. Although I'm not in a religion per se, but I have considered it. I think a lot of people have.

Do you think Cardinal Law bears responsibility for not taking action against the allegations of sexual misconduct by Father Geoghan?
He bears all responsibility! In my opinion if he was nonverbal, he condones it.

Do you think Catholic priests should be able to marry?
Yes, they should have a choice. If they could meet a spiritual partner that's on the same page as them, it would be uplifting and could possibly invoke more balance in their lives. It's a new day, and you have to be open to new philosophies in this ever-changing environment.

Have you ever considered devoting your life to your religion?
I do. I study the Kabalah which is the Jewish form of mysticism.

Do you think Cardinal Law bears responsibility for not taking action against the allegations of sexual misconduct by Father Geoghan?
It was his responsibility to tell someone higher up so that they could look into the allegations.

Do you think Catholic priests should be able to marry?
I can understand not being able to get married after they've become priests. But I think maybe they should be able to get married before [they've entered the priesthood]. But they shouldn't be allowed to get divorced.

Have you ever considered devoting your life to your religion?
Not for more than three seconds. Did I just say that?
