  Rocky Neck State Park, off Rte. 156 (Exit 72 off I-95), three miles west of Niantic, CT, (860) 739-5471. The 708-acre coastal park includes one mile of frontage on Long Island Sound and offers swimming, lifeguards, scuba diving, bathhouses, saltwater fishing, picnicking, hiking trails, concessions, a dumping station, a picnic shelter, and 160 campsites with showers and flush toilets. Fee $12 per night.
