  Smugglers' Notch State Park, 7248 Mountain Rd. (Rte. 108), eight miles west of Stowe, VT, (802) 253-4014. The wooded 25-acre park is located on the flank of Mt. Mansfield and offers several hiking trails, showers, a playground, picnicking, and camping, with 21 tent and trailer sites and 14 lean-tos. Open through Oct. 11. Campsites $12, lean-tos $16.
