  Dinosaur State Park, 400 West St. (Exit 23 off I-91), Rocky Hill, CT, (860) 529-8423. In 1966, construction workers unearthed some dinosaur tracks on the site of this 70-acre park, halfway between Hartford and New Haven. The Dome includes a life-size Jurassic diorama and auditorium. The grounds have nature trails and an arboretum. Park open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Trails close at 4 p.m. Exhibit center open Tues. through Sun. from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
