Various natural habitats are sheltered in this 407-acre refuge, which includes a barrier beach with sand dunes, shrubs, grassland, and some forest. The refuge offers hiking, bird watching, fishing, and nature study and the like, and adjacent Ninigret Pond attracts a wide variety of wildlife that can be seen well from observation platforms. No motor vehicles. No staff or facilities. Open daily from sunrise to sunset. Free.
