  Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, in Washington County, near Green Hill Village, RI, (401) 364-9124. The 641-acre refuge offers a variety of wildlife habitats in fields, shrublands, fresh saltwater ponds, sandy beaches, and dunes. Waterfowl and more can be seen from the three miles of hiking trails. It is the only undeveloped coastal salt pond in Rhode Island. Occasional bird-watching tours. No staff or facilities.
