Greek Revival building, designed by William Strickland in 1838, houses 155,000 books and manuscripts, including a 19th-century literature collection. Changing exhibitions of rare books (including a complete Audubon Birds of America) are on display in the Charles and Deborah Philbrick Rare Book Library. Open Mon. through Thurs. from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Fri. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sat. and Sun. from 1 to 5 p.m. Free.
