Visitors' center, exhibits, and video show interpreting the life of Roger Williams, the founder of the first government in the world with complete religious freedom for all. The original 1636 settlement of Providence included this site, now across the river from the Capitol. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free.
