  Slater Mill Historic Site, 67 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket, RI, (401) 725-8638. The property includes the Old Slater Mill, built in 1793, and the Sylvanus Brown House, built in 1758. Also, the Wilkinson Mill, which dates to 1810 and houses a mid-19th-century machine shop and a 16,000-pound operating waterwheel. Slide show of mill history and demonstrations of early textile machinery, hand-spinning, and weaving. Tours run Mon. through Sat. at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., and on Sun at 1 and 3 p.m. Open Mon. through Sat. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sun. from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission $7, $6 for seniors, $5 for children 6 through 12.
