Best comedy escapist
Is life imitating art? Much like Escapo - their mysterious escape-artist character - comedians Chris and Dave Walsh have been breaking out of their traditional comedy venues over the past year.

While their ensemble the Great & Secret Show continues to hold court late Thursday evenings at the ImprovBoston Theater in Cambridge, the Charlestown brothers have taken their show on the road to rock and jazz clubs, theaters, and colleges and universities. In August, the Great & Secret Show headlined as part of the Regattabar's popular summer comedy series. And the brothers have also been booked for Jimmy Tingle's Off Broadway Theater, the Paradise Rock Club, and the Middle East. Dave Walsh says that while he and Chris will continue to work traditional stand-up venues, their show particularly benefits from the special energy that rock and jazz audiences provide.
