Best fresh air with your drink
With Cuffs, the new Jurys Boston Hotel offers a nice upscale Irish bar with fireplace and dinner service. (It's in the old Boston Police Department headquarters - get it? "Jurys"? "Cuffs"?) But especially enjoyable, at least in nice weather, is how the bar spills onto a pair of below-street-level outdoor decks. You can sit at the tables and enjoy the air while remaining protected from the wind; watch the people go by on Berkeley Street without their noticing you; and talk without fear of strangers' overhearing your conversation. The best of all worlds - and good drinks, too.

Cuffs at Jurys Boston Hotel, 154 Berkeley Street, Boston, (617) 266-7200.
