Best reason to go on the Atkins diet
Even if you're not one to forgo carbs in favor of a carnivorous lifestyle, Midwest Grill in Inman Square will have you rethinking Atkins. The Web site for this perennially popular Brazilian eatery proclaims the restaurant the "best meat experience you've ever had" - and you'd be hard-pressed to argue.

Although there's a wonderful hot-and-cold buffet, the real draw here is the rodizio, a fixed-price dining experience in which waiters continually offer to carve you tender slices of meat from sword-like skewers. Yes, that's right. The best meat you've ever had, served right off a sword. Selections include beef, chicken, lamb, chicken hearts, and sausage, but it's the juicy pork that's the true showstopper.

For those who still crave a little starch, you'll gladly note that the buffet, where you'll find potatoes and rice dishes, is included in the cost of the rodizio.

Midwest Grill, 1124 Cambridge Street, Cambridge, (617) 354-7536; www.midwestgrill.com.
