Best place to get your lumps

There are other good mogul slopes in New England, but Outer Limits at Killington is the best, not just because of the lumpy-mashed-potato moguls and the consistent steepness of the slope, but also because of its huge width and location on the mountain. If you're on Outer Limits, you're on display: people will see you from the chair lift that runs along the left side of the slope, from the base of Bear Mountain (one of Killington's seven peaks), and from the deck of the base lodge, where they'll be munching on a barbecued burger. Outer Limits is pure entertainment. And since most bump skiers (well, the good ones, anyway) like to show off, this is the place to do it. If, on the other hand, you're easily embarrassed -- say, after making that face plant -- try a more secluded patch of moguls first.
